GPTT since April 2019 has put forward a proposal on reforming gasoline subsidies in order to all people, regardless of how many cars they have, enjoy equally the benefits of the subsides. Praising the think tank for contribution in preparation, codification, and pilot implementation of the proposal, the Iranian Minister of Economy, in a letter received at Sharif University of Technology (to which GPTT is affiliated) on January 20, expressed his hope that this kind of constructive interactions between experts, scholars, and think tanks with Iranian ministries and executive bodies be helpful in solving complex policy issues and can lay the groundwork for the promotion and improvement of the country’s governance system. He also appreciated therein the GPTT’s contribution in codification of “Facilitation of Issuing Business Licenses Act.”
