In a meeting with Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, Deputy for Strategic Affairs to the President, the GPTT presented its policy package titled «Fourteen Policies for the 14th Government.» The session introduced the GPTT’s work and addressed critical governance challenges facing the country.
This policy package is structured around three key areas: supra-government policies, central government policies, and sectoral policies. It highlights pivotal governance topics, including building public trust in government policy, establishing a national regulatory system, resolving strategic decision-making deadlocks, developing political leadership, addressing the national energy imbalance, and managing digital governance issues.
The «Fourteen Policies for the 14th Government» is not intended as a comprehensive solution to all national challenges. Instead, the package is driven by an institutional reform approach, emphasizing that, with attention from the President, it could play a significant role in strengthening the central government institutionally. This foundation could support enhanced capabilities within the executive branch to better tackle the country’s substantial challenges in the 14th government.
